Thomas Rutsito
Zimbabwean Thomas Rutsito (202-F/C-97) put on an amazing game in the last round for NC Zebras and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 11 points and twenty rebounds, while his team lost the game against the league's best team Egoli Magic (#1, 2-0) 57-64. NC Zebras maintains the 6th position in their group in South African BNL. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 2 games and had no victories. It was one of impressive evenings for Rutsito as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Rutsito has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 8.5ppg), assists (9th best: 1.5apg) and averages solid 8.5bpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was swingman Nkosinathi Sibanyoni (G/F) of league's best team Egoli Magic. Sibanyoni impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Egoli Magic cruised to a 64-57 relatively comfortable win over NC Zebras (0-2). His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Sibanyoni is a newcomer at Egoli Magic and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.5ppg (#4). He also registered 14.0 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was another Egoli Magic's star - former international forward Reece Prinsloo (203-F/C-91). Prinsloo scored 9 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Egoli Magic, helping his team with a 64-57 win against NC Zebras (#6, 0-2). Egoli Magic has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Prinsloo also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Prinsloo has a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (7th best).
Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
